Don't live under a bridge...Live on one.


I really enjoyed reading this article from the January issue of I.D. magazine. Its about an architectural proposal that imagines a new future for Bay Bridge. (Bay Bridge has been damaged by an earthquake and is seen as no longer useful.) The proposal suggests the bridge should become a civic space with housing, bicycle paths, swimming pools, and gardens.
Here is a quote from the article:
"If we consider cities as part of an ecology and the infrastructure that runs them as part of that ecology, then the most diverse kinds of infrastructure could promote healthy cites." -Rael
